COVID 19       During this difficult time for us all, we have decided to continue providing Tour Services.    Our vehicles are always regularly serviced and cleaned but we are taking extra precautions during The Corona Virus outbreak.  All the vehicle door handles, seat belts, and other points of contact are being sanitized before, during, and after each tour.  Sanitized wipes will be provided for you in our vehicles.    We understand, and appreciate, that many people will have justifiable reservations about booking a tour and yet want to be able to tour with us on arrival in Ireland so we are making temporary changes to our booking arrangements.  We are only taking a deposit of €75 regardless of the size of the vehicle or the duration of the tour. For bookings made now that subsequently need to cancel because of Corona Virus, we will refund 95% of the deposit provided we receive a minimum of 72 hours notice of cancellation. We will make the refund of 95% to you, or at your discretion hold the full deposit against a future booking.

Doolin is a charming small seaside village on the northwest coast of County Clare. Set against the rugged Atlantic Ocean and surrounded by the spectacular bare limestone landscape of the Burren it is a place of breathtaking beauty. Doolin is situated 8km from the famous cliffs of Moher, and 6km from Lisdoonvarna spa town.

Traditionally a fishing village, Doolin is now renowned world-wide as the traditional music capital of Ireland. One of Doolin's most famous sons was Miko Russell, a world-renowned tin whistle player. His contribution to Irish music is celebrated with a weekend of traditional music every February.

Home to thousands of international visitors each year, Doolin is many things to many people. For some, it is a place to experience rousing music sessions nightly in a pub and for others, it is a place of solitude and tranquility where one can refresh their spirits away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Doolin has been welcoming visitors for many years and some of the more popular activities are, visiting the magnificent Cliffs of Moher, or the archaeological sites in the Burren, finding the rare flora and fauna of The Burren, enjoying scenic country walks, visiting the Aran Islands, Sea Angling, watching the sunset, enjoying the waves, playing pitch and putt or trying some of the following more specialized activities. Caving, Scuba diving, Rock Climbing, Hill Walking, or Mountain Biking. Doolin Cave (Pol an Ionain) is set to become one of the major tourist attractions in County Clare.

You can take a ferry trip that brings you right under the Cliffs of Moher and gives magnificent sea-level views of the cliffs and "The Needle", home to thousands of different nesting seabirds.

"Not wanting to do the typical "bus tour" of Ireland, and not wanting to drive on the left, I booked a tour with Ireland West Tours. We hiked to remote churches, visited little known Tower houses/castles...all things that our amazing guide, Paul, was able to recommend. This was worth every single penny."

"Once you experience a private guided tour, you will never consider a coach tour again! Jim is personable, knowledgeable, and an excellent driver. After 7 days in Ireland, I can say my favorite memories are those spent on our private tour. Best money spent was with Ireland West Tours."
